How to Grow Marigolds From Seed Marigolds are perfect if you want big color without much work. They'll bloom all season as long as they have sun and a little water. What You will learn in this article  •  Starting Marigold seeds • Soil • Light and temperature • Watering the seeds  • Transplanting  Marigolds Outdoors  Starting Marigold seeds You dont need to dig deep holes for Marigold Seeds.  Where ever i chose to plant the Marigold seeds, whether in a Pot or in the garden.  I start out by digging,  loosening and smoothing the soil before planting the seeds, because the soil is usually compacted, from consistent watering and off season of no use.  Then I usually just sprinkle the seeds on the soil. When sprinkling the seeds, I usually make sure the seeds aren't in 1 big clump together. Atleast separate them a couple inches away from each other, so they have there own space to grow.
